The
average recycled content of paper packaging produced by Canadian mills for use
in Canada is close to 80%, according to the industry's environmental council,
PPEC. The council surveys the industry every two years and has been tracking
recycled content since 1990. For 2012, the average was 76.4%, basically the
same as in 2010.
