Somerset, England—Haynes Publishing Group has acquired the assets of Clymer
and Intertec Manuals from Penton Media. The acquisition was valued at $9.25
million.
Collectively, Clymer and Intertec published 432 manuals; Clymer specialized
in power-sports manuals, while Intertec was best known for its I&T tractor
and farm machine manuals. Haynes Manuals, a unit of HPG under which the
acquired titles will be housed, publishes motorcycle and automotive repair
manuals.
