Thanks
to a major state grant, more than 100 workers at the NewPage paper mill in
Duluth will get specialized training to help fill the shoes of highly skilled
retiring workers.
The
customized training - spanning two years and running the gamut from safety
practices to new technologies - is being paid for with the $91,768 Minnesota
Job Skills Partnership grant awarded to the paper mill and Lake Superior
College.
