The number of media deals rose almost 49%
during the first three quarters compared with the same period in 2011, while
total value increased 52%, according to a report by media investment bank
Jordan, Edmiston Group.
The 946 transactions during the first three
quarters of this year had a combined value of $49.4 billion, compared with 635
deals valued at $32.5 billion during the first three quarters of 2011.
